Ice climbing is similar to rock climbing in some ways. It also involves techniques and handling of vertical ascent. The gears and methods that were using in ice climbing is similar to that rock climbing. However, ice climbing has a difference from rock climbing due to the nature of ice. Usually ice climbers go with ice waterfalls, rocky surfaces which water has frozen. But ice climbing consistency is basically depending on the weather and the type of ice is being climbed.
