Ice Climber Scales Mt. Everest from its Nepal side

MONDAY, 19 MARCH 2007

Dirk Stephen will be attempting to scale Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world, from its Nepal side.

Stephen made it to the southcol last year but was hindered by tough weather. He was not also willing to take the risk, Stephen added. His trip will be his third to Mt. Everest.

He could have done better during his last climb but he was not able to see certain aspects of his climb, Stephen explained. It is the experience which still counts, Stephen pointed out.

For more information about Stephen's return to Mt. Everest, read www.everestnews.com.
