Slovenian Tomas Humar climbed Annapurna East (8026 m) alone for the second time.
Humar first climbed the trekking of Tharpa Chuli, also known as Tent Peak, (5663 m) to acclimatize himself. Last October, he crossed the South Annapurna Glacier and climbed up below the east of Annapurna.
Humar started his climb at the south face of Kangsar Kang, which is commonly known as Roc Noir (7485 m). In 1988, legendary Artur Hajzer and Jerzy Kukuczka climbed the east ridge of Annapurna and continued to the East summit. Humar also followed the 2000 line without even being aware that a three-man party used it in 2000.
In 1974, Jose Manuel Anglada, Emilio Civis and Jordi Pons first ascended Annapurna East.
