The 2009 Ouray Ice Festival will be held on January 9-11. The clinics will start on November 5, 2008 at 9am.
The Ouray Ice Festival was first held and organized in 1995. Since then, it became the most awaited event and highlight of the ice climbing season in Colorado, USA. Every year in this festival, ice climbers from around the world gather to compete against one another to summit faces. More and more climbers are participating in the festival as years progress.
The festival raises more than half of the Ouray Ice Park’s annual operating capital. Proceeds of the event will go to the operation and maintenance of the park.
